In the afterglow of Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, a first-time host city that played it like a veteran, we have been inspired to propose this trivia question: What city has hosted the most Super Bowls?

The answer, for now, is Miami, with 10 Super Bowls to its credit. We say for now because, in 2013, the City of New Orleans will become part of the answer when it hosts Super Bowl XLVII … for a record-tying 10th time.

As the NFL transitions from the Circle City to the Crescent City, and we salute the New York Giants as the reigning Super Bowl champions, at Dallas Fan Fares we’re diligently working on a record of our own. The February 3, 2013, game will mark our 26th consecutive trip to the Super Bowl and the 26th year we’ve been providing our world-class hospitality program for clients attending the game.

It also will be Dallas Fan Fares’ fourth Super Bowl journey to New Orleans, a city famous for its cuisine, music, festivals and celebrations. And when it’s Super Bowl week, what a celebration!

At the center of it all is the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which already holds the distinction of being the single stadium with the most Super Bowls under its belt, with six. Super Bowl XLVII will make it seven… and the first since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city in 2005.

Today, the Superdome stands as a symbol of optimism for New Orleans, a concrete testament to the resiliency of the city and its people. And sports has served as a catalyst for recovery, both economically and emotionally.

The people of New Orleans cheered as their hometown Saints triumphed in Super Bowl XLIV… and proudly helped coordinate numerous sporting events throughout the city that once again is thriving as a result.

During a two-week stretch from December 26—the night that Saints quarterback Drew Brees became the NFL’s single-season passing leader during New Orleans’ 45-16 victory over the Atlanta Falcons—to the BCS Championship Game match-up between Alabama and LSU on January 9, New Orleans played host to nine major sporting events, bringing in approximately 250,000 visitors and an economic impact of $500 million. Those numbers are further affirmation that sports have been great for the city … and New Orleans has been great for sports.

Let the countdown for Super Bowl XLVII begin!

While the game may be almost a year away, the demand for tickets and hotel rooms for Super Bowl XLVII is on. Don’t miss the game—or the excitement—by teaming up with Dallas Fan Fares, an Official Hospitality Provider for NFL On Location.

I see London, I see France …

Well, actually, we just have London in our sights for our upcoming trip to the 2011 NFL International Series, which will be played at Wembley Stadium on October 23, 2011. We see Bears and Buccaneers in our near future, as well, and we’re looking forward to our journey “across the pond” to witness the matchup between these two NFL franchises in the venue designated as England’s national stadium.

In the 31 years Dallas Fan Fares has been in business, our staff has traveled to six out of the seven continents in order to implement our global meeting management, incentive travel, destination management and corporate sporting events hospitality programs. But it’s not every day that we get to experience an NFL game on foreign soil.

For those NFL fans who love the game no matter where it’s played (you can include us in that category), we always look forward to this experience. The 2011 season will mark the fifth consecutive year the International Series has been played in England, and its arrival is heralded each season by Brits and Yanks, alike!

This season’s International Series matchup between Tampa Bay and Chicago is expected to be just as exciting … both on and off the field. With Dallas Fan Fares’ designation as an “Official Hospitality Provider to NFL On Location,” fans can be assured that their 2011 International Series experience will be “brilliant” (that may be more of a British saying, but it pretty much translates the same in North America, too).

From the Friday Night NFL Kickoff Party overlooking the River Thames, to the finest accommodations in London, to exclusive hospitality options and Insider Extras, to your seat location inside Wembley Stadium, NFL On Location offers fans the authentic NFL experience. And you don’t have to live in Buckingham Palace to reap the royal treatment at the 2011 International Series!

We have no way of knowing for certain, but we’d be willing to guess that Dallas Fan Fares President Kaye Burkhardt undoubtedly was the happiest person on the planet on September 9. At least, judging by the smile on her face as she walked into the office the morning after her beloved Green Bay Packers prevailed in a hard-fought, 42-34, victory over the New Orleans Saints on opening night of the 2011-2012 NFL season.

A Wisconsin native, Burkhardt indeed was ecstatic about the Packers’ win, in an epic matchup between the last two Super Bowl champions. But then, she’s always giddy whenever another NFL season kicks off, no matter which teams are playing.

As Burkhardt watched the Super Bowl-worthy competition between the two franchises, played on historic Lambeau Field, a rush of memories started flooding in …

From cherished childhood memories of attending games at that very same venue with her father, who instilled in her a love of sports (of football and the Packers, in particular). It’s a passion she’s passed on to her four children, who now are perpetuating the family legacy with their own children.

Later, as a college student at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Burkhardt would take road trips to Green Bay with her sorority sisters. By observing the coaches, in particular legendary Green Bay coach Vince Lombardi, while attending Packers games during those fun-filled weekends, she spotted a correlation she would one day incorporate into her future career as a business owner.

“I could see how emulating the different coaching philosophies, how they motivate players, also could be beneficial in the business world,” she says now. “You can take all the principles, all the things that work, and apply them to any business situation. I’ve never seen it fail.”

Fast forward toFebruary 6, 2011, and Burkhardt’s happiness is in abundance. She’s standing on the field at Cowboys Stadium, soaking in the post-game celebration of Super Bowl XLV, won by her beloved Packers.

As confetti rained down, she not only quietly rejoiced in Green Bay’s 31–25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a matchup featuring two title-abundant franchises, only miles from the transplanted Texan’s Dallas home. But Burkhardt’s joy also overflowed as she witnessed the excitement on her clients’ faces, as they reveled in the post-game celebration on the field along side her and her equally enthusiastic staff.

The coaching philosophies she’s applied throughout her company’s now 31-year tenure obviously have been successful. As Burkhardt says, she’d never seen it fail.

And here was the evidence … hundreds of contented clients, who were reaping just one of the many benefits of Dallas Fan Fares’ designation as an “Official Hospitality Provider to NFL On Location.” By being able to experience the post-game glow of the Super Bowl the way the players do: from the field.

Burkhardt and her team of veterans are ready to do it again this season, coordinating Dallas Fan Fares’ world-class sports hospitality program—with its NFL On Location distinction—for clients during Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012. It will be the company’s 25th consecutive year of hosting clients at the Super Bowl, a journey that began at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for Super Bowl XXI.

In reality, that odyssey actually began during childhood trips with her father to Lambeau Field, when Burkhardt’s passion for sports was ignited.

The morning after Keegan Bradley took home the Wanamaker Trophy as the winner of the 2011 PGA Championship, the 25-year-old PGA TOUR rookie woke up in his Atlanta hotel room in utter amazement. And it wasn’t just the realization that his name now has joined a legendary list of champions etched on his shiny, new trophy.

Keegan Bradley tweeted this picture of the Wanamaker Trophy wearing a Red Sox hat

No, Bradley, who started his final round at Atlanta Athletic Club with about 3,000 Twitter followers, was astonished to see his following grow to nearly 25,000 overnight. And those followers, which continue to grow in number since Bradley emerged victorious from the last Major Championship of the 2011 season, have been treated to real-time pictures of the Wanamaker Trophy as it made its way to the newly crowned champion’s home in Florida. Including front-seat honors in his rental car from the golf course, where Bradley won in a three-hole playoff, to hotel, where it served as centerpiece for the post-victory celebration.

The Wanamaker Trophy

At Dallas Fan Fares, we may not have a Wanamaker Trophy (although we have taken home our share of honors over the years), but we do have a Twitter account (@DallasFanFares). And we do love golf.

That actually works out really well in our job of providing hospitality at every major sporting event in the country, including the Masters, the US Open and the Ryder Cup. It works out even better for all our loyal clients, who are the real winners at every venue Dallas Fan Fares hosts a corporate hospitality program.

Check out what a highly satisfied customer had to say following a recent trip to the Masters …

“I can say, unequivocally, that you and your staff hosted the most well organized, enjoyable, relaxing and memorable events I have ever had the privilege of attending last week at The Masters. From the minute my client and I stepped off the airplane to the time you sent us on our way, the service was world class. All details were attended to and nothing was overlooked. Meals were great; the venue was, of course, phenomenal and our speakers enjoyable. The homes we stayed in were candidates for Architectural Digest, and I felt fortunate to be a guest.”

From fabled Augusta National and the legendary Masters Tournament to famed Olympic Club in San Francisco, the site of next year’s US Open, and renowned Medinah Country Club for the Ryder Cup’s return to America, let Dallas Fan Fares be your ticket to all the Major Championships during the 2012 golf season. And you can jump on our Twitter bandwagon (@DallasFanFares) to discover all the exciting updates about our world-class sports hospitality programs.

Aloha, Yea!

As we get ready to say hello to another NFL season, the Dallas Fan Fares team already has been hard at work, making preparations for you to say “aloha” to the 2012 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl.

Yes, we know the game is more than five months away (it will be played on January 29, 2012, to be exact), and the regular season hasn’t even kicked off yet. But, as far as we’re concerned, it’s GO time at Dallas Fan Fares!

A trip to the Pro Bowl is considered a reward for a job well done, matching the top players of the American Football Conference against the National Football Conference. Sure, they have a game to play … after a hard-fought, 16-game NFL regular season. But they get to play it in the Hawaiian paradise of Honolulu, with a fanfare (we really like that word!) of fun-filled festivities before and after.

And after the season you’ve just had (or rather, will have by year’s end) don’t you think you’ve earned a trip to the Pro Bowl, too? Let us answer that one with a resounding yes!

We’re not talking about just any trip, either. Team up with Dallas Fan Fares, and we’ll treat you to the experience of a lifetime!

As an “Official Hospitality Provider to NFL On Location,” Dallas Fan Fares ensures Pro Bowl-bound fans the confidence of working directly with the NFL … providing prime seat locations, first-class hotel accommodations, amenities and VIP access to exclusive events and other hospitality throughout your entire all-star experience in the Aloha State.

The veteran team at Dallas Fan Fares will work with you to 1) pick the package that’s right for you; 2) choose your upgrades; and 3) enjoy your “insider extras,” including access to the official NFL Saturday Night and Pregame Tailgate parties.

There’s so much more, and you can read all about this once-in-a-lifetime experience by clicking on this link: http://www.fanfares.com/2012ProBowl.pdf.

Better yet, give Kaye Burkhardt at Dallas Fan Fares a call, and she will be glad to personally regale you with all the all-star advantages and amenities you’ll gain from teaming up with an “Official NFL On Location” hospitality provider. (And this life long sports fan will be more than happy to talk football, if you’re so inclined.)

Be sure to follow Dallas Fan Fares on Facebook and Twitter throughout another exciting NFL season … and get ready to say “aloha” to your football fantasy come true with a trip to the 2012 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl in the Hawaiian paradise of Honolulu!
